This free 6-week webinar conversation series invites a diverse range of families who identify as LGBTQIA2+ at different stages of family life -from those with young children to those whose children have “grown and flown”- to explore the changing landscape of LGBTQIA2+ parenting during the last several decades.
Among the topics we will explore:
• Homophobia and transphobia, and how they impact families’ lives,
• The impact of policy and law on families’ lives
• LQBTQ2+ family formation and gendered notions of parenting
• Generational and evolving perspectives on gender, sexuality, and identity
• Ethnic and racial diversity in LGBTQ2+ families
• Representation of diverse family forms in children’s literature and educational settings
