RSVP: Annual Foster Parent Rights and Responsibilities Document Review

Dear Caregiver Community, Tribal Partners, DCYF Community Partners and Stakeholders,

We would like to invite those who have experience as a licensed foster parent to join our 2021 annual review of the Foster Parent Rights and Responsibilities document.

Please save the date! The review will take place over the course of two meetings. The first will be held on Thursday, October 7, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and will include an overview of the document and the new review process, discuss areas of feedback and potential changes, and include small group breakouts for collaboration and discussion amongst attendees. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, October 28 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and will include a recap of the first meeting, a review of the updated draft document with recommended changes, and provide time for Q and A.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the interest survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KW8K5RR) to be added to our participant list. As we approach October more detailed information will be sent out. Please feel free to share this invitation broadly. We look forward to partnering with you and continuing to support licensed foster parents statewide.

Translation services will be provided based on requests via the survey.

Please feel free to contact the Community Engagement team with any questions at dcyf.communityengagement@dcyf.wa.gov.
